FieldInsight Feature Release — Week 14 2026
Feature update for FieldInsight — what’s new in Week 14 2026. Here’s everything shipped to the platform this week.
Multi-line Text Display on Weekly Timesheets
What’s new
- Weekly timesheets now display all text with multi-line support instead of cutting off content
Why it helps
You can now see complete job notes and details on your weekly timesheet view without any text being hidden, making it easier to review and approve timesheets accurately.
Copy Line Items Between Documents
What’s new
- Added the ability to copy individual line items from documents directly to jobs
Why it helps
Save time by copying specific items from quotes or other documents straight to a job without having to re-enter the details manually.
Customer-Only Quote Status Notifications
What’s new
- New setting to send quote status notifications only when a customer changes the status, not when internal staff do
Why it helps
Reduce notification noise for your team by only triggering alerts when customers accept, decline, or respond to quotes—not when your own staff update statuses internally.
Improved Negative Currency Display
What’s new
- Negative dollar amounts now display as -$100 instead of $-100 across the system and document PDFs
Why it helps
Financial documents and screens now show negative values in the standard format your customers and accountants expect, looking more professional on invoices and reports.
Signature Button Hidden When Not Required
What’s new
- The sign button and “not signed” text are now hidden when signature is not required for a document
Why it helps
Your document lists are cleaner and less confusing—if you’ve set a document type to not require signatures, you won’t see unnecessary signing prompts or warnings.
Stage Descriptions on Quotes
What’s new
- Quote stages can now display a description field underneath the stage name
- New system field setting available to enable stage descriptions
Why it helps
Give your team more context about each quote stage directly on the quote, making it clearer what needs to happen at each step of your sales process.
Job Change Detection Warning
What’s new
- The system now detects when a job has been modified by another user and prompts you to reload before saving
Why it helps
Avoid accidentally overwriting a colleague’s updates—you’ll be alerted when someone else has changed a job while you had it open, preventing lost work and status conflicts.
Mobile Asset Defect Search and Filters
What’s new
- Search asset defects by defect number on mobile devices
- Status and priority filters moved to a dedicated filter panel
- Default status filters set to show Approved, Job Raised, and In Progress defects
Why it helps
Field technicians can now quickly find specific defects by number and focus on actionable items without scrolling through completed or cancelled defects.
Quote Accept Comments Email Placeholder
What’s new
- New email placeholder available to include customer comments when they accept a quote
Why it helps
Automatically include any notes or comments your customer added when accepting a quote in your confirmation emails, ensuring important details aren’t missed.
Invoice and Quote Menu Permissions
What’s new
- New permission settings to hide the Invoice menu item from specific user roles
- New permission settings to hide the Quotes menu item from specific user roles
Why it helps
Control which team members can access invoicing and quoting features, keeping your technicians focused on their work while office staff handle billing.
Project Manager Filter on Projects
What’s new
- Replaced “My Projects Only” checkbox with a Project Manager dropdown filter
- Filter defaults to the current logged-in user
Why it helps
Quickly view projects assigned to any project manager—not just your own—making it easier for office staff to check workloads and cover for colleagues.
Bill Status Display on Sales Bills
What’s new
- Bill status now appears next to the bill number and can be edited directly from that location
Why it helps
See and update bill payment status at a glance without opening additional screens, speeding up your accounts payable workflow.
Critical Defect Priority Option
What’s new
- New “Critical” checkbox option for defect priorities
- When Critical is enabled, simplified priority options are shown (hiding lower priorities)
Why it helps
Flag urgent defects as critical so your team immediately knows which issues need attention first, streamlining your defect management process.
Invoice Due Days Auto-Calculation
What’s new
- Due days field now automatically calculates based on the selected invoice term
- Due date updates automatically when invoice terms change
Why it helps
No more manual date calculations—select your payment terms and the due date updates automatically, reducing errors on your invoices.
Hide Markup Percentage on Bills
What’s new
- New system field setting to hide markup percentage on bills
- New Bills section added to Sales system fields for easier configuration
Why it helps
Keep your internal markup calculations private by hiding the percentage field from users who don’t need to see your profit margins.
Purchase Order Number Required Setting for Sites
What’s new
- New setting to require a purchase order number for specific customer sites
- Also available at the Account Customer level
Why it helps
Ensure your team always captures the customer’s PO number before starting work at sites that require it, preventing invoicing delays and payment issues.
Maintenance Report Grouping Options
What’s new
- Maintenance Visit reports can now be grouped by Asset Category and Asset Type
- Added “No Group” option for flat list view
Why it helps
Analyse your maintenance work by equipment type to identify which assets need the most attention and better plan your service schedules.
Required Field Indicator for Asset Fields on Mobile
What’s new
- Asset custom fields now show a “Required” indicator on mobile devices
Why it helps
Field technicians can clearly see which asset fields must be completed before they can save, reducing incomplete data and return visits.
