Feature update for FieldInsight — what’s new in Week 15 2026. Here’s everything shipped to the platform this week.

Improved Date Entry for All Date Fields

What’s new

  • Type dates directly into date fields without needing to use the date picker
  • Slashes are automatically inserted as you type (e.g., typing “11112024” becomes “11/11/2024”)
  • Copy and paste dates between fields with ease

Why it helps

Enter dates faster across the system by simply typing numbers instead of clicking through the calendar picker. This speeds up data entry for office staff processing jobs, invoices, and scheduling.

Default Markup for Project Builder Items

What’s new

  • Set a default markup percentage for new line items in Project Builder
  • New items automatically inherit the default markup you’ve configured

Why it helps

Save time when building quotes and projects by setting your standard markup once, rather than manually entering it for every new line item. This ensures consistent pricing and reduces data entry errors.

Variation Filtering for Claims

What’s new

  • Claims now only include variations with relevant statuses: WIP, Quote Accepted, Job Created, and Job Completed
  • Draft and other early-stage variations are automatically excluded from claims

Why it helps

Your claims are now cleaner and more accurate, showing only work that’s actually in progress or completed. This reduces confusion and prevents premature billing for variations that haven’t been approved yet.

Quote Title Now Visible on Claims Page

What’s new

  • The quote title is now displayed next to the variation number on the claims page

Why it helps

Quickly identify which variation you’re working with at a glance, without needing to open each one to see what it relates to. This makes managing multiple variations on a project much faster.

Web Link Custom Fields in Import Templates

What’s new

  • Web link custom field type is now supported in import templates

Why it helps

Import records that include website links or URLs in bulk, making it easier to migrate data or update records with external references like supplier portals or documentation links.

Reply-To Email Address for Sales Documents

What’s new

  • New option to set a reply-to email address when sending sales documents

Why it helps

Customer replies to quotes and invoices can now be directed to the right person or inbox, ensuring responses don’t get lost and improving communication with your customers.

Asset Type Added to Asset Standards

What’s new

  • Asset type is now included in the asset standards form

Why it helps

Better organize and categorize your asset maintenance standards by equipment type, making it easier to apply the right compliance requirements to each asset category.

Customizable Column Headers in Fire Safety Measures

What’s new

  • Rename column headers in the Fire Safety Measures block on maintenance reports
  • Custom headers display on generated PDF reports

Smaller QR Code Display for Assets

What’s new

  • QR codes displayed via “Show QR” on assets in the scheduler app are now appropriately sized
