FieldInsight Feature Update — Week 2 October 2025
A handful of quality-of-life improvements you can use right now.
Supplier Credit PO
What’s new
We now support a Supplier Credit returns process where items can be returned to Suppliers and a Credit value captured to apply to future Purchase orders raised to that Supplier. Note, at this stage the Supplier Credit Order does not sync with Accounting.
Why it helps
Allows returns to be tracked and credit balances to be quickly applied to new PO’s.
Job Time & Materials: Supplier column
What’s new
An optional Supplier column can be shown on Job Time & Materials, positioned before Category. It displays the Supplier Name linked to each product in your Inventory List.
Why it helps
Faster reconciliation and visibility over where items came from.
GPS Maps: “Current location” crosshair in the key
What’s new
The crosshair icon is now labelled in the map legend as Current location.
Why it helps
No more guessing what the crosshair means—clear, accessible navigation.
Timesheet > Products & Expenses: clearer descriptions
What’s new
We improved the inventory item table on the timesheet page such that when you select item code, it automatically updates the description field with the description of the selected item code.
Why it helps
Prompts better data entry and fewer empty lines in reports.

Sales Reports: Defect Summary Table
What’s new
A configurable Defect Summary Table you can include in Sales report templates. It supports:
- Defect Priorities, Defect Statuses, Defect report fields
- New field: Count of defect repeats (how many times a defect is confirmed)
- Includes defects raised, confirmed, or planned for each job on the report, filtered by your selections
Test Event List
What’s new
A master list of all test events within the Maintenance Agreement summary dashboard to show incomplete test defects across sites.
Filters
Display period, Start date, Contract.
Why it helps
At‑a‑glance oversight of testing workload and outstanding defect items.
Maintenance Report: Defect element enhancements
What’s new
- New columns: Defect Description, Asset ID of the defect’s asset
- Renamed: Defect Severity → Defect Priority; Product Type → Asset Type
- Show/Hide any of the defect columns
Why it helps
Clearer terminology and flexible layouts for different audiences.
Colour‑coded STATE in Test/PPM results
What’s new
The STATE badge now uses colour by outcome (e.g., Red = Fail, Green = Pass, etc.).
Why it helps
Faster scanning and fewer misreads in busy results tables.
